I was looking for a room at a hotel that was clean, where the staff were courteous and helpful. More importantly the hotel had to be safe for a single person travelling alone. Also, I usually have trouble falling asleep at new hotels but had no problem with the YMCA. The bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet-no disturbances at night. By far the best experience was when I went to the Y Cafe the night I arrived, and because I was sick, a waitress made sure I had my food first in order for me to take my medication. My friends had no problem in coming to see me as the MRT station Dhoby Ghaut was so nearby. Well worth the money I paid.

THERE WAS NO SUFFICIENT WATER COMING OUT FROM SHOWER. NEED TO INSTALLED BIG SHOWER. ONLY THE HOTEL LOCATION IS GOOD FOR STAYING BECAUSE IT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF CITY.

There was no option given to us for a double bed in our room and instead given twin beds. The pillows were very big and hard. I found it difficult to sleep.

1.Air-con is nice, but the building is kept too cold. In the room, I had to turn the thermostat warmer.

Excellent snooker tables and pool is fine even for handicapped persons. Internet access reasonable price.

The hotel should charge less for what they have to offer.
The rooms are very small and the carpeting was dirty. The shower is extremely slow as they use a mini-size shower head. I booked into a family room, but the attached bathroom had only a small hanging rack and nothing else. Could improve by placing a few shelves in the bathroom.
